Thats like shooting us all back to Pre Searing where every profession has almost the same build.

yeah, i've pretty much just been doing hellgate: london beta and taking my 2nd acount through nf (for the treasure chests access) so i haven't really played it...checked the builds though; the monk build makes more sense than people seem to think. it's got condition/hex removal, a little damage and a a couple crappy heals. it seems pretty balanced. the ele and ranger seem a little imba though...the warrior build...gash with no bleed? not sure i understand that one bit.

Retarded. Mindless slashing and gashing, I lost interest in it in about 2 rounds.

I think it is a wonderful idea. I really like it a lot.
Ritualists are definitely better healers than monks this time.
I think it is a great new game mode, they should definitely follow this path.
It reduces "build wars" and is easy to get. The random element is fun, but can also be very unfair for certain team compositions. Dunno how to improve that... but this arena is already more fun than random arena.
BTW, grats to the nublet that thinks the warrior build has no bleeding. Cripslash.
Ankasikka, grats on evaluating the Dervish and Necro builds so low, it is refreshing to have a laugh about stupid reasoning late night.

It is kinda fun, but not that big of a difference from PvP (AB etc) only with worse skill bars.

Kind of off topic, but has anyone noticed that the PvP rewards in this game are generally subpar (when comparing other games that have Pking and such). I think that is a turn-off to new pvpers.

Entry-spiked SF spike team > you
Costume Brawl generally fails at balance. Eles in quantity are imba due to lack of decent prot; as a consequence, dervs are imba (since the avatar prevents significant ele damage and prevents the blind from Steam).
Main problem is the monk bar, which is awful and has no true damage prevention skills. In any environment where there's no prot, the eles are going to define the environment. Was true in the early days of PvP (Ether Renewal/Chain Lightning, anyone?), was true in the early days of AB (FC Air Spike > you), and it's true in this environment as well.

Good fun if you get a team that knows what its doing and can work with the skills given. Common, adapt guys! It's just good fun and the monk on our team didn't come up short at any time.
Had to leave after a run of 22 consecutive wins - our team gelled from the start and we rocked. Several flawless victories, and I was very sorry I had to leave!
Our team: Rit, Necro, Monk, Ele, can't remember the others as someone dropped out and was replaced.
No, there's no extra bonus after 10 or even 20 consecutive wins.
Just relax and have fun with it
Since when was this kind of thing about the rewards, anyway?

I've pressed 'Enter Battle' once; won't do it again.
I left bored after winning 6 matches, well before the start of the 7th, as soon as the 'Victory!' proclamation appeared. Got angry whispers because my party started the 7th match one man short, with me greyed out in the party. Stupid.

dervishes are the dominate choice, the tree is pretty much immune to all the professions.
anyway this is just RA but with PvE noobz, kinda fustrating when yr a subj gladiator, and your put with the really useless ppl who dont even know what direction they are facing.
rant out

some how all the whinning you will hear on this forum are exactly what makes it fun, and the fact that it is a limited event.
Some how it seems like that is the third pvp with the most reward. (I'm counting event tournament the best for game play experience and the ocasional mini, second being Faction PvP because of the skills, then coming this)
